England finished their home Test summer with a 3-0 series win over Pakistan, as Joe Root’s side won every match of a tour that ended on 13 September.
Ollie Robinson led the way with 21 wickets and shared the player-of-the-series award with Pakistan seamer Mohammad Abbas, who took 13. Harry Brook was England’s top run-scorer with 215, while Saud Shakeel led Pakistan’s batting with 204.
Seam decided the series
The two players of the series were both seamers who rely on accuracy and movement rather than raw pace, which says a lot about the conditions. Pakistan’s batters competed in patches, but England’s attack kept finding a way through.
